Dataset description

This table provides regional data on the average energy consumption per house (natural gas and electricity) of private homes broken down by different housing types and type of property for the Netherlands, the parts of the country, provinces and municipalities. In addition, only for total dwellings the percentage of district heating is included, as this is relevant for the interpretation of the level of average natural gas consumption. Data available from 2010 to 2020. Status of the figures: The figures for the years 2010 to 2017 are final. The figures for 2018 to 2020 are provisional. Changes as of November 2021: Preliminary figures for 2020 have been added. As of 2020, figures by RES region will be shown; RES regions are defined in the Regional Energy Strategy. When are new figures coming? New figures appear in the third quarter of the year following the reporting year.
