CBS collects data on private household spending to provide the fullest possible picture of the spending pattern related to household characteristics.
Energy spending is an important part of households’ total spending.
These are expenditures of private households. Households and persons in establishments, institutions and homes are not part of the respondents.
This table shows the total expenditure, total energy expenditure and expenditure on natural gas, electricity and motor fuels of different household types. The uses are shown both in amounts (euro) and in shares (%).
The percentages relate to the share of energy spending in the total expenditure of the households group concerned. The consumed amounts of gas and electricity of different household types are also presented.
The different household types are divided by the size of the household, age of the breadwinner, household composition, income height, main source of income and home ownership.
