Works of art Ground (and other works of art) can be provided with heat exchangers with which cold can be extracted from the water flow. This allows a very high cooling power to be generated with a small investment. This cold (5-9 °C) is stored in the groundwater of the WKO with which it becomes available in the summer and can be used for cooling for customers of cold in the vicinity of a work of art. Deep peeing The water of “deep” lakes (> 18 meters) can be used for the sustainable cooling of buildings. The cold water (4-8 °C) from the depth of a pond remains insulated and thus provides a sustainable source of cooling. By pumping this cold in the summer and using it for cooling buildings or processes, an energy saving of 90 % can be achieved for customers of cold in the vicinity of a deep pool. Product Description The dataset describes the economically recoverable potential of thermal energy from surface water compared to the current cold demand corrected for the soil storage capacity for WKO expressed in suitability classes (moderately suitable, suitable, very suitable, excellently suited) of a location within a 1,000 meter radius of works of art and deep urination.
