Environment Regulation- Greenhouse horticulture

Designated area for the concentration and development of greenhouse horticulture. A zoning plan allows new installation and expansion of a greenhouse horticultural plant with a glass stand from two hectares only within a greenhouse horticulture development area. In a greenhouse horticultural development area, a zoning plan allows a function other than greenhouse horticulture only if that other function contributes to the restructuring of the greenhouse horticulture sector. A zoning plan may, starting from 29 June 2005, allow an extension to five hectares of an existing greenhouse horticultural plant outside a greenhouse development area if it is demonstrated in the explanatory memorandum to the zoning plan that:a. the extension is necessary for an efficient continuation of the holding; e.g. relocation to a greenhouse horticultural development area is not feasible for business purposes;c. this extension is compatible with the local area qualities of nature, landscape and water.The update plan was adopted by Provinciale Staten on 15 December 2021, the date of entry into force is 1 February 2022.
