Dataset description

This table provides information on the environmental costs and environmental investments by companies (with 10 or more employees) and the net environmental costs of these companies in the sectors of mineral extraction, industry, energy supply and water extraction according to the Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). The net environmental burdens reflect the financial burden of business as a result of environmental care. Data available from: 2012 (for the SBI 2008 business classification). Status of the figures: The figures for the years 2012 to 2019 are final. Final figures will only be revised if it appears that significant adjustments are necessary. Changes as of 16 August 2021: Final figures for 2019 have been added. When are new figures coming? Final results for 2020 will be available in the 3 rd quarter of 2022.
