This table describes the costs of measures to combat environmental pollution from agriculture. Environmental costs include the farmer’s own costs and the transfers/taxes paid to third parties. Environmental costs consist to a large extent of capital costs (interest and depreciation) of environmental investments.
Environmental investments are also reflected. Environmental costs are subdivided by environmental compartment (part): water, air, soil, waste, noise and general. In addition to environmental costs, the subsidies received are mapped out. By adding to the environmental costs the taxes paid and deducting the subsidies received, the net environmental costs arise.
