Published by Provincial Staten van Drenthe on 3 October 2018 of well-known archaeological values — Preservation in situ. From a selection of well-known and valued archaeological sites, we believe that they should be preserved in situ for future generations and future scientific research. This includes all the hunebeds, a cluster of medieval homes in the Onlanden, a number of grave mound complexes, settlement grounds, sacrifices, peat roads and ramps, all certain Celtic fields, the Spanish cemetery near Veenhuizen and areas with cart tracks.
