Environmental vision- Green development zone

The province wants to enable the development of combinations of nature with other functions when they contribute substantially to strengthening the ecological coherence of the nature of the Gelders Nature Network (GNN) and the existing landscape and cultural historical qualities. The Green Development Zone (GO consists of areas with a different destination than nature that is spatially intertwined with the Gelders Nature Network. These are mainly agricultural land, but also areas for leisure and day recreation, infrastructure, housing and businesses. Meadow bird areas and Goose foraging areas are also part of the Green Development Zone. These are not in the Gelders Nature Network. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial States on 19 December 2018.
