Dataset description

The water abstraction areas are the zones directly surrounding the win wells with water that is pumped up within 1 year. These protected areas concern the zone that includes the win wells and their immediate vicinity. The province and its partners aim to protect groundwater as a source of drinking water supply. The update plan was adopted by the Provincial States on 19 December 2018.
