Forecast for persons with a migration background, 2020-2070

This table contains projections of the population by migration background in the Netherlands, the number of live born children with a second generation migration background, the foreign migration of persons with a first generation migration background and the number of people with a first and second generation migration background in the Netherlands. All figures are also broken down by Western and non-Western. Data available: 2020-2070 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are forecast figures calculated. Changes as of 16 December 2020: None, this is a new table in which the previous forecast has been adjusted based on the observations now available. The forecast period now runs from 2020 to 2070. When are new figures coming? The frequency of appearance of this table is one-off. In December 2023, a new table showing the projection of population development by migration background will be published.
