Function Card

The Function Card contains all non-residential functions in Amsterdam. Through intensive field research, each building examines which functions are present in it: offices and businesses, retail and hospitality, social and leisure functions, parking and public transport.All buildings are taken over from the Grootschalige Basiskaart van Amsterdam and any functional units within those buildings are digitally registered. The case name, address, non-residential function and gross floor area are recorded in a database.Not in all cases it is known what the case name or exact function is.The gross floor area is an estimate, calculated on the basis of the ground area of the building or the functional unit within it, multiplied by an estimate of the average number of floors.
