Dataset description

File with dobs in Fryslân. These are depressions (combs) in the Pleistocene landscape, filled in whole or in part with peat and gytja. In the boobs, which have been feathered out by man, lakes occur. The dobes can be deflation bowls, i.e. blown bowls, formed within the sanding landscape. These bowls are usually no deeper than 3 meters.
