This table shows five variants of healthy life expectancy:
— Life expectancy in health perceived as good
Life expectancy without physical impairments
— Life expectancy without chronic diseases
— Life expectancy in good mental health
— Life expectancy without GALI restrictions
In addition, figures on “usual” life expectancy are also included, so that healthy life expectancy figures can be related to this.
In the table, data on (healthy) life expectancy can be broken down by the following characteristics:
— Sex
— Age
This table shows the evolution of healthy life expectancy over time. For example, it can be seen that life expectancy without chronic diseases for women fell in the eighties and ninety years. Life expectancy without moderate and severe physical impairments for men actually increased during the same period.
