Groundwater protection area (Environmental Regulation 2016)

This stock contains groundwater protection areas as laid down in the Environmental Regulation of the Province of Groningen 2016. In this Environment Regulation we have included rules for this. Groundwater protection areas are located around the drinking water extractions (Onnen-De Punt, Sellingen, Bellingwolde). Activities that may deteriorate the quality of groundwater are prohibited here. The same applies to the area and the banks along the Drentsche Aa around and upstream from the intake point (just across the border in the province of Drenthe) of drinking water abstraction in the Drentsche Aa. — Groundwater protection areas- Drinking water areas- Areas Prohibited Physical Bodemaantasting
