Groundwater protection (OGV, 2010) (history)

In the province, at eighteen locations, water is extracted for public drinking water supply. Around these win sites, protection zones are designated in the FPA, based on the vulnerability of the areas. The distinction consists of vulnerable, less vulnerable and non-vulnerable areas. The most vulnerable areas receive the most protection in terms of size and measures. A protection zone is made up of different zones. This stock shows the various groundwater protection gradations: water extraction area, groundwater protection area, area against physical soil degradation as shown in the Environmental Vision adopted by Provincial States on 2 June 2010, Map 11 (Flood).
