Dataset description

This table contains the (still experimental) results of the Dutch growth accounts. The growth accounts show the contributions made by the various means of production to economic growth. For example, it can be determined which part of production growth is explained by a change in the use of capital (K), labour (L), energy (E), materials (M) or services (S). The results of the growth accounts can also deduce the evolution of multifactor productivity. This is the part of growth (of production or added value) that cannot be attributed to any of the different means of production. Multifactor productivity is therefore an important measure of the productivity of the Dutch economy. Taking into account all known inputs of the production process, multifactor productivity provides a broader picture of productivity than traditionally used labour productivity. This table also publishes the underlying data and labour productivity. This table is based on the 2008 Standard Business Classification (SBI 2008). The reference year for the volume and price indices of time series is 2010. The values in this table are based on the National Accounts compiled in accordance with the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010). Data available from 1995 to 2016. Status of the figures: The data from 1995 to 2014 are final. Data for 2015 and 2016 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive. Changes as of 15 June 2018: The data for the years 1995-2000 and 2016 have been added. The data for the years 2014-2015 have been revised. The addition of the 2000 reporting year to the series made it possible to calculate the year-on-year developments for 2001. These used to contain a point (.), but have now been replaced by the percentage change. Changes as of 24 July 2018: For the reporting year 2016, the indices with base year 2010 were miscalculated. Therefore, they did not take part in the year-on-year percentage developments. That has now been corrected. The correction is between + 2.5 point and -3.2 point. Change as of 24 May 2019: None, this table has been discontinued. The Central Statistical Office has recently carried out a revision of the national accounts. New statistical sources and estimation methods are used. This table containing data for revision has been replaced by table growth accounts; national accounts. For additional information see paragraph 3. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
