Since March 1997 CBS, in addition to the national consumer price— index, for the benefit of the European Union (EU) the harmonised
consumer price index for the Netherlands together.The harmonised
consumer price index is comparable in the EU Member States
it is wise, and therefore gives a good comparison of the
price developments within the Member States.However, the index is less
suitable to accurately reflect national inflation.
Data available from January 1996 to December 2005.
Frequency:discontinued as of 1 January 2006.

new period added and/or adjustments made in accordance with the
