This file contains data on exposure to nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in North Brabant in 2014 and its translation into health risks, so-called GES scores. Calculated NO2 concentrations (annual averages in micrograms/m³) have been translated into GES scores in accordance with the Handbook on Health Impact Screening City & Environment 2012: < 19.5 = GES 3 (free moderate); 19,5-24.5 = GES 4a (moderate); 24,5-29.5 = GES 4b (moderate to very moderate); 29,5-34,5 = GES 5a (very moderate); 34,5-39.5 = GES 5b (very moderate to insufficient), 39.5-49,5 = GES 6 (insufficient). Whereas in the 2013 data, calculated concentrations of 49.5-59,5 = GES 7 (very insufficient) and > 59.5 = GES 8 (very inadequate), these high values do not occur in the 2014 data. The Health Effect Screening (GES) method gives a score (from 0 to 8) to the environmental health quality. Shown on the map from green (GES score 0, very good) via yellow, orange and red (GES score 6, insufficient) to purple (GES score 8, very insufficient). These scores are based on the knowledge of the relationship between exposure and health risks.
