This table describes employment related to health and well-being spending. Health and welfare care includes all health and well-being activities, involving direct contact with the patient or client, and policies, management and insurance of those activities.
This means that not only companies and institutions whose main activity is the provision of care, but also the care activities of other companies and institutions.
The subjects are the number of employees’ jobs at the end of a year, the number of working years of employees per year, the number of self-employed (including freelancers, alpha aids and principal shareholders), and the salary for social insurance on average per working year.
The topics are broken down by type of healthcare provider, age, gender and occupation (classified by competence: which profession a person may exercise because of his or her entry in the Register of Health Care Professionals (BIG Register).

The figures for the year 2012 are provisional. The figures for the year 2011 are further provisional. Figures from the other years are final. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive.
