Healthcare institutions; finance, personnel, production and capacity, 2006-2012

This table contains information on the loss and profit account, balance sheet, investments, staff deployment, capacity and production of groups of companies whose main activity is hospital care, mental health care, disabled care, nursing home care, home care, social care and women’s care and youth care. This concerns only publicly funded enterprise groups. The enterprise groups are classified by main economic activity according to the Standard Business Classification (SBI) 2008. This is a so-called institutional perspective that takes into account all the ancillary activities of the group of companies considered. Year-on-year developments in finance, personnel and production are partly influenced by population changes. Changes in the main activity, incorporations and abolitions lead to changes in the population of enterprise groups. Mergers, acquisitions and divisions can also result in changes in the population. Data available: 2006-2012 Status of the figures: The figures for the last reporting year in the table are provisional. The figures for previous years are definitive, with the exception of the figures for the production and capacity of all categories of healthcare institutions for 2010 and 2011. And with the exception of the 2011 figures for finances and staff of Social and Women’s Welfare, Youth Care with overnight stay and Ambulatory youth care.
