The map is based, among other things, on the soil structure from the REGIS and the heat/cold needs of the different functions (building types).
Per function, assumptions were made in the research to come from an energy demand to a demand in m³ water/m²/yr. This question was translated into a minimum required thickness of the aquifer package based on the formulas of the research.
The suitability and capacity of the substrate, in line with the WKO tool, is based on the thickness of the aquifer packages (D) and the permeability of this package (k), i.e. on the kD value (m²/day).
The capacity is determined separately for the 1st aquifer package and for the combined 2nd and 3 rd aquifer package.
