Dataset description

Inventory of historically important areas in the landscape. Historical geography is the spatial precipitation of man’s adaptations over the centuries to the natural environment. Examples are old field complexes (“bollow fields” with Esdek), heather fields, estates. The contemporary Brabant landscape is the historically grown result of a centuries-long development. This map layer contains a selection of the areas that illustrate this historical growth. The areas have a description and one or more photographs. The Cultural Historical Values Map was definitively adopted by GS van Noord-Brabant on 26 September 2006.
