Dataset description

Dataset for historical maps with soil information in Utrecht. These are available in Streamline and also in SquitIbis. They are available in different formats. The historical maps consist of: — Companies_Cart (business SBI codes from corporate cartotheque) — Bomb craters (presumed locations of bomb craters based on aerial survey) — Fuel tanks (private and commercial tanks) — Ged_sloten_hardings_ed (taped locks, pavings and the like based on aerial photo examination) — Nuisance law (actual nuisance data of companies) — Hinderwet_4 (additional nuisance data of companies) — Historical activity (historical activities identified for the land-covering image in 2005) — Land Registry_1832 (bottom-threatening activities based on cadastral map of 1830) — Literature_1700 (soil-threatening activities based on ancient literature) — Aerial photo_interpretation (soil-threatening activities based on aerial photographs of different volumes) — Precario (addresses for which precario had to be paid for for having a tank or vent pipe or filling point in municipal land) — Watercourses_with_divers (waterways with divers may be important for soil research) — Isohypses (historical altitude groundwater) These maps contain historical information about soil-threatening activities, which may lead to or have led to soil contamination. The data is not exhaustive. The historical archive has been partially lost in the past. Most maps are static and are no longer modified, only the fuel tanks and historical activity can still be updated.
