History of education; public expenditure

In this historical table, the expenditure of the Dutch government it is shown in regular education. The expenditure is divided according to the contemporary types of education. For no longer existing types of education the aim is to achieve the best possible conversion to an existing type, so that the different years can be compared. Since 1995 expenditure on education is only calculated according to internationally agreed guidelines. These guidelines have been drawn up through a partnership between the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and Eurostat. Changes as of 7 December 2009: The preliminary figures for 2008 are included. The figures for 2007 are now final. When are new figures coming? Not applicable.
