Dataset description

This file contains an overview of the growth in the number of traffic lights regulated crossings that are functionally managed by the municipality of Amsterdam. The start is in 1932 when the Leidseplein is the first to be equipped with traffic control by means of light signals. Over time, traffic lights have also been removed. This is possible because of profile changes or a decreasing traffic pressure.
