The regional accounts for households in this table describe the primary and secondary distribution of the household sector’s income accounts.
These accounts can be used to make interregional comparisons of the main transactions involving households.
The household sector includes all natural persons residing in the Netherlands for more than one year, regardless of their nationality. In addition to the persons living alone or as a family, persons living in nursing homes, retirement homes, prisons, boarding houses, etc. are also included in households. If the persons referred to the households have their own holdings, this holding is also counted among the households. This is the case with the self-employed and the homeowners.
