This table provides insight into the distribution of the housing stock to rental and own homes, in absolute and relative values.
The data shown relates only to homes. These are not recreational homes, residential units and special residential buildings. The housing stock is determined on the basis of a link between the Housing Register (WRG) and the WOZ-register with an addition from the housing stock of the Land Registry and the annual files of the Housing Statistics. These data are further broken down into the following regional breakdowns:
— Districts, provinces, COROP areas, urban regions, metropolitan agglomerations and municipalities.
The observation period was set on 1 January.
Data available from 2006 to 2012.
Status of the figures:
The figures are final.
When are new figures coming?
This table was discontinued on 21 June 2013.
Reason for cessation:
From 2012 onwards, the data on the housing stock came from the BAG (Basic Registration Addresses and Buildings). In order to prevent trend breaks within one table, new tables have been launched (see also paragraph 3).
