Dataset description

This table contains figures on the use of information and communication technology (ICT) by companies with 2 or more persons employed. The data can be broken down by company size and industry. The reporting period covers the year 2020. However, a number of topics relate to the year 2019. In such cases, this shall be stated in the explanatory memorandum on the subject in question. Data available for 2020. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 27 November 2020: None, this is a new table. Changes as of 14 January 2021: Correction to the numbers for the question under Personnel and ICT, Courses: “ICT course given to other staff”; this was incorrectly filtered with the question ‘ICT specialists employed’, while the question was asked to all companies. Correction to the figures for demand under ICT security, ICT work execution; this was incorrectly filtered with the question ‘ICT specialists employed’, while the question was asked to all companies. Changes as of April 2022: In the previous version, the category ‘Own personnel and external supplier’ was not included in the sub-section on ‘Implementation of ICT security’. The figures on “Fix Internet connection” have been overhauled by an improvement in an imputation rule. The subject ‘Incident occurred’ shall be broken down into ‘Incident by internal cause’ and ‘Incident by external attack’. The subject ‘Incident occurred’ is omitted. The subjects of the sections ‘Action of ICT security incidents’ are classified by internal or external causes and those from ‘Costs by ICT security incidents’ according to costs due to internal or external incidents. The selection of the ‘Banks and Credit Banks’ SBI codes incorrectly contained and corrected the intermediate 64.2 Financial Holdings and 64.3 Investment Institutions. Furthermore, the figures in this table have been revised by the use of improved elevated factors and an improved estimation methodology of turnover figures. When are new figures coming? Figures for 2021 will be available in December 2021.
