Immission Traffic- Forecast 2020 Elementary Carbon (soot)

File provides a forecast of air quality for soot (Elementary Carbon or EC) around national, provincial and municipal roads in Gelderland for the year 2020. Soot is one of the fractions of fine dust. There is a clear relationship between soot and health damage. No official limit or test value has yet been established for EC. The data is calculated nationwide using the reporting tool. Per road section it is indicated what the concentration is at 10 meters from the edge of the road. Air quality is represented in five concentration classes. Air quality is calculated, inter alia, by means of traffic sets and calculation models based on the data of the year 2017. Any other sources are included in the background concentration. However, the main source of soot is traffic. The values calculated with the model have an inaccuracy of 20-25 percent.
