Immission traffic- Forecast 2020 Fine dust (PM10)

File provides a forecast of air quality for particulate matter around national, provincial and municipal roads in Gelderland in the year 2020. The data is calculated nationwide using the reporting tool. Per road section, the prognosis for the PM10 concentration at 10 metres from the edge of the road is indicated. Air quality is represented in five concentration classes. Two different legends have been made. The first legend shows how many days the daily average concentration exceeds 50 ug/m³ (overrun day). Following the standards, 35 days of overrun per year may occur. The second legend shows the average annual concentration of PM10. Following the standards, the annual average concentration shall not exceed 40 µg/m³. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends 20 µg/m³ as a safe standard according to the latest scientific insights. Air quality is calculated, inter alia, on the basis of forecasting traffic intensities and using calculation models based on the year 2016. The sources, such as industry and agriculture, have been incorporated into the background concentration. The total concentration also includes the direct contribution from road traffic. The values calculated with the model have an inaccuracy of 20-25 percent. Purpose of manufacture: For publication in the annual air quality report.
