Inactive population; barriers to work due to long-term illness

This table contains figures on the inactive population aged 15 to 75 (excluding the institutional population) classified according to the degree of impediment (strong, light or unimpaired) in obtaining employment due to a long-term illness, disorder or disability. For the different classifications, a breakdown by gender and the characteristics of age, education level, position in the household and employment position is available. Data available from: 2015 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 16 February 2021: The 2020 figures have been added. Changes as of 14 November 2019 The figures on the level of education in this table have been corrected for all periods. This is a correction in the distraction of the level of education of persons who indicate that they have obtained a diploma abroad with a level similar to the higher education level. This group was wrongly awarded the level associated with an MBO2 training. When are new figures coming? The figures for 2021 will be published in February 2022.
