Dataset description

This table contains financial balance sheets of the various sectors and subsectors in the Dutch economy. The balance sheets are presented in the form of receivables and debts. The difference between claims and debts is indicated as financial assets. The financial transactions (FT) and other changes (OM) can be observed between the initial balance sheet (BB) and the final balance sheet (EB). All these data are intended to provide a detailed and clear picture of the claims and debts classified according to financial transaction categories. The following shall apply to the financial balance sheets: BB + FT + OM = EB. In this publication, the balances can be found under the heading ‘Core figures’. In addition to a breakdown by sectors, a breakdown has also been made between (main) sectors and the subsectors belonging to the financial institutions sector and the general government sector. The households and non-profit institutions (IZWh) sectors have been merged. In 2005, the national accounts were revised on the basis of conceptual changes to the international guidelines of the European Union (ESA 1995). In addition, new statistical insights and new sources have been incorporated into this 2001 revision. Data available from: 1990 Status of the figures: The figures since 1990 are final. The two most recent years still have a (further) provisional character. When are new figures coming? This table was discontinued as of 09-10-2012 and replaced by the Financial balance sheets and transactions table.
