This table provides information on a selection of topics related to the safety of young people from the National Youth Monitor. These topics are broken down by region. In order to show how young people in the Netherlands are doing, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics in addition to this topic. The topics are called indicators. Status of the figures: The figures on child abuse are final until 2020, provisionally for 2021. For registered suspects, the figures until 2019 are final, for 2020 further provisional and for 2021. (According to) preliminary figures indicate an underestimation of the final number of suspects. The provisional number of suspects in the most recent year is a few percent lower than the final number. Amendments as of 18 May 2022: Figures on child abuse have been added: • Preliminary figures for 2021. Figures on registered suspects have been added • Final figures for 2019; • Further preliminary figures for 2020; • Preliminary figures for 2021 When are new figures coming? Final figures on child abuse are expected in autumn 2022.
