Commercial wastes are distinguished in hazardous and
non-hazardous waste.
This table only provides information on the non-hazardous
wastes. A distinction is made in chemical and
non-chemical waste. The non-chemical wastes are still
further disaggregated.
The released commercial waste is reused or offered
for “final processing”. Landfill and incineration of waste are the
main forms of final processing.
This table shows for total Netherlands, by industry and by
company size information about the total quantity released
wastes broken down by type of waste (=waste category) and
method of processing or processing (reuse or final processing).
In May 2002, the European Waste Regulation adopted the European Waste Regulation.
waste list (EURAL) is listed, entered into force. As of 2004 is
used the EURAL for the first time.
The 2004 figures per category of waste are not unequivocal
similar to the results of the previous years. The Eural Code
uses a different classification classification of the substance types than at the time
the Dutch Waste List.
For this reason, this table only contains figures from 2004 onwards. For one
reference to tables with figures for the years for 2004: see
paragraph 3.
