This table provides information on the amount of waste released from mining, industry, energy supply, water extraction and waste management sectors. The waste is broken down by industry by type of waste. Commercial waste is classified according to types of waste. The types of waste are classified according to Eural codes adapted to the European Waste Statistics Regulation. The Eural codes are waste codes as listed in the European Waste List.
This table further distinguishes between chemical and non-chemical wastes. The non-chemical waste is further disaggregated. The commercial wastes released shall be recovered or offered for final treatment. The total amount of industrial waste, chemical and not chemical, is indicated under ‘Total by processing’.

Status of the figures:
All figures are final until 2019, the figures for 2020 are provisional.

The provisional figures for 2020 have been added.
The underlying codings of the classifications (business waste) used in this table have been adjusted.
These are now in line with the standard encodings established by the CBS.
The structure and data of the table have not been adjusted.
In addition, the category "Total by processing" has been added to the dimension "business waste.
When will there be new figures?
The final 2020 figures are expected by the end of April 2022.
