This table shows the index and development of ready-to-use stock in the industry, indicated by the code Section C according to the CBS Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). The figures in this table come from a monthly survey of stock developments at industrial companies. Not all industrial companies participate in the research. Some SBIs in the industry are not observed. Also, only data is collected from industrial companies with at least 50 employees.
The index describes the volume of stock at prices in the base period (2005=100).
Stock developments are reflected in percentage changes compared to the same period the year before.
Data available: January 2004 to December 2012
Status of the figures
The indices of the stock of the five most recent months are provisional.
Changes as of 27 March 2013:
This table was discontinued on 27 March 2013 and continued as Industry; stock ready product, index 2010=100. See also paragraph 3.
The statistical examination, which is the basis of the results in this table, has undergone a number of significant changes from the date of publication of the first reporting period of 2013.
1. In 2013, switched from reference year 2005 to 2010 (2010 = 100).
2. The weighting factors updated and based on the year 2010. When calculating indices, the weighting factors reflect the proportion with which the underlying outcomes count in a publication group.
When are new figures coming?
This table was discontinued on 27 March 2013.
The statistical examination which forms the basis of the results in this table has undergone a significant change from the date of publication of the first reporting period of 2013:
In 2013, from reference year 2005 to 2010 (2010 = 100), the weighting factors were updated and based on the year 2010.
When calculating indices, the weighting factors reflect the proportion with which the underlying outcomes count in a publication group.
Because of these changes, CBS has released a new table.
For more information, see paragraphs 3 and 4.
After the discontinuation of this table, the figures are no longer adjusted, which is why the figures for the last five months remain provisional. The remaining periods are final.
