Innovation in companies; type of innovation and development of innovations

This table contains data on innovation in Dutch companies. Figures are available on the number of companies with innovations and the type of innovation involved.In addition, figures are available on the development of these innovations and whether the innovations were new to the market. The data is the result of a biennial innovation survey conducted under a sample of companies with 10 or more persons employed. A survey covers three years, for example 2016 to 2018 (this is the reporting period). The last year in a survey is the same as the first year in the next survey. This means that the periods partly overlap. The figures are broken down by company size and industry according to the 2008 Standard Business Classification (SBI 2008). Data available from: 2016-2018. Status of the figures: The figures for reporting period 2016-2018 are final. Changes as of 30 June 2021: None, this is a new table. When are new figures coming? The results of the Innovation Survey 2018-2020 will be published in the third quarter of 2022.
