This table contains key figures on the social security of persons in the Netherlands. These come from the 2021 Security Monitor and include the main themes: liveability and nuisance in the residential neighbourhood, security experience, victimisation of traditional crime, victimisation online crime, citizens’ judgement on the police, and crime prevention. The data can be broken down by characteristics such as gender, age and educational level.
Due to changes in the questions and in the research design, the results of the 2021 Safety Monitor cannot be compared with those of the previous editions of the Safety Monitor. For more information, see the study description ‘Security Monitor from 2012’, which is included under section ‘4. Sources and Methods’.
