In this table, the Dutch import, export value and trade balance is broken down by sections, divisions and groups according to the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC). The data is then further classified by countries (groups) and continents. The coverage rate and percentage changes in imports, exports and trade balance, broken down by countries (groups) and continents, are only available for the total of the goods.

Several corrections were made in the 2016 statistical year. As a result, total imports of goods are reduced by 4 billion euros. In total goods exports, this is 2 billion euros less. These include:
— Adjustments to the estimation method;
— Adjustments in the import and export of aircraft and ships;
— Adjustments to the input values of women’s underwear, passenger cars, other printed matter and disk memories;
— Adjustments to the output values of musical instruments, live plants, DVDs and CDs;
— Removal of imports and exports of Southern bluefin tuna (03023690).
