Dataset description

Because of human activities and a changing climate, we are seeing more and more alien species in the Netherlands. These species were not originally found in the Netherlands but are increasingly able to settle in the Netherlands. New species often have few enemies and can reproduce quickly with regular negative consequences. The American crayfish, Japanese knot or collar parakeet are known to many people but there are many more species that spread in the Netherlands. This map layer shows observation locations of invasive species (exots) “Gigantic Bear Claw”, “Japanese Thousand Knot” and “Hay Fever Plant” and “Heaven Tree”. This dataset is offered in both OGC:WFS- and OGC:WMS-service. In addition, it is possible to download the data directly in a number of file formats.
