Dataset description

The heart of the Drents Plateau and the Hondsrug are indicated on map 11 (Landwater) of the Environment Vision adopted by Provincial States on 2 June 2010 as inside areas, in these areas surface water is retained in order to build up the largest possible supply of groundwater. Two aspects are important for this: the level in the stream valleys and the infiltration of rainwater.
