This table contains the (still experimental) results of the Dutch growth accounts. The growth accounts show the contributions made by the various means of production to economic growth. For example, it can be determined which part of production growth is explained by a change in the use of capital (K), labour (L), energy (E), materials (M) or services (S).
The results of the growth accounts can also deduce the evolution of multifactor productivity. This is the part of growth (of production or added value) that cannot be attributed to any of the different means of production. Multifactor productivity is therefore an important measure of the productivity of the Dutch economy. Taking into account all known inputs of the production process, multifactor productivity provides a broader picture of productivity than traditionally used labour productivity. This table also publishes the underlying data and labour productivity.
This table is based on the new standard business classification 2008 (SBI 2008). The reference year for the volume and price indices of time series has been shifted from 2000 to 2005. This is due to a European regulation relating to the reference year of the time series of the National Accounts.
This table has been discontinued because the national accounts have been revised on the basis of the European System of Accounts 2010 (ESA 2010). This table is based on ESA 1995.
Data available from 1995 to 2012
Status of the figures
The results discussed in this publication still have an experimental status. Although publication of the growth accounts is considered to be justified, the evolution of growth accounts is not yet fully completed. As a result of expanding and deepening the statistical description of means of production, the results will change in the coming years.
The figures for the period 1995-2010 are based on final figures, data for 2011 and 2012 are (further) provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive.
Changes as of 16 December 2015:
