Published by Provincial Staten van Drenthe on 2 July 2014 of well-known archaeological values — Preservation in situ peatlands. From a selection of well-known and valued archaeological sites (values), the province of Drenthe believes that they should be preserved ‘in situ’ for future generations and future scientific research. This includes all hunebeds, a cluster of peaters in the head of Drenthe, a number of grave mound complexes, settlement grounds, sacrifices, peat roads and ramps, all certain Celtic fields, the Spanish cemetery and areas with cart tracks.
