A street or pavement pump is a facility to drain rainwater. A kolk is connected to a rainwater or wastewater sewer or sometimes to a direct drainage pipe to surface water. Many kolks have an odor screen to prevent gases from the sewer from causing nuisance or danger on the road. In addition, many kolks have a sand trap, a deepened area where sand and other sedimenting parts (such as leaves and street dirt) are left behind, to prevent the sewer from becoming polluted or even clogged and thereby endanger the important function of rainwater drainage.
This dataset contains the location of all street and pavement columns.
This dataset is offered in both OGC:WFS- and OGC:WMS-service.
In addition, it is possible to download the data directly in a number of file formats.
