Labour force; by company and personal characteristics 1996-2008

In this table you will find annual figures on persons in the working population and the industry in which they work. The figures are special according to the personal characteristics and characteristics of the work circle. The industry data are compiled according to the Standard Business Classification ‘93 (SBI’93). The figures are based on the Occupational Population Survey (EBB). Data on industry based on the EEW are only intended as background characteristic and not to reflect the volume of a specific industry. Data available from 1996 to 2008. Status of the figures: Figures based on the EBB are always final. Changes as of 29 May 2012: In this table, the data on employees with permanent or flexible employment relationships have been changed compared to the previous version for all years. The reason for this is that the definition of a flexible employment relationship has been broadened. Previously, employees with a temporary contract and fixed hours with a view to a permanent contract and also employees with a temporary contract of one year or more and fixed hours were counted among the permanent employees. These are now considered to be the flexible employees. When are new figures coming? This table has been discontinued and is continued in a table using the Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008).
