Land, road and hydraulic engineering (GWW); input price index 2000 = 100, from 1979 onwards

The historical series 'Ground, road and hydraulic engineering; input price index 2000=100, from 1979' shows the development of the cost of labour, material and equipment for Ground, Road and Water Projects (GWW) in the Netherlands. This series was created by linking independently of each other series from the past. There are currently eight sub-areas within the GWW. These domains are derived from the standard Classification Products to Activity. In addition, there is one more sub-area for which no observation has been made since 2005. For each sub-area an index series is determined on the basis of the price developments of the different cost components from which the product to be realised — in this case a project in the GWW — is constructed. The price index for the Total GWW is a weighted average of the eight sub-areas. The published price indices of the GWW are based on the average price level of the relevant month. In addition to price indices, developments are also published compared to 1 year earlier. When compiling this index, changes in general costs and ‘profit & risk’ are not taken into account. Also, changes in excise duties (e.g. those of the ‘red’ diesel as of 1 January 2013) are not reflected in the price indices. Data available from: The series of different sub-areas of ground, road and hydraulic engineering can cover different periods. Some start in 1979, while others only started at the base shift to 2000=100. The other price indices are provisional. The period during which the price indices are provisional depends on when the collective agreements involved in the GWW are concluded. This period may vary from 4 to approximately 16 months after the period for which the figures are calculated. Changes as of 28 February 2022: The January 2022 price indices have been added. When will there be new figures? Provisional figures for April 2022 will be published by the end of May 2022.
