This table contains information on the length of waterways. This makes a distinction based on the characteristics of manager, navigability, economic interest, recreational tour class and waterway character. Data available from: 2005. Status of the figures: It’s definitely. Changes as of 22 March 2019: the 2018 figures have been added. The source stock used in 2018 (Rijkswaterstaat, via www.pdok.nl) has a leveling moment that lies half a year later than the previous years. Due to the marginal developments in the waterway length figures, this does not cause a relevant trend break. In the subdivision within the characteristics, the category “Unknown” has increased. Rijkswaterstaat investigates this with its waterway managers. It is expected that in the coming years the category “Unknown” will decrease again. When will there be new figures: The table update is delayed due to new formats of the input files.
