Dataset description

The Regional Archives Nijmegen manages an extensive collection of historical literature about Nijmegen and its surroundings, mainly consisting of books, brochures, newspapers, magazines, annual reports and old prints. The publications are about Nijmegen, the Empire of Nijmegen, the German-Dutch border area near Berg en Dal, the Land van Maas and Waal, the Overbetuwe and the northernmost point of Limburg, and on general historical subjects. The dataset contains more than 20,000 descriptions of publications in the library of the Regional Archives Nijmegen and is continuously supplemented. In addition to the data on the title, author, publisher and year of publication, the dataset also contains keywords. Any PDF files associated with the library descriptions in the Digital Study Room of the RAN are not part of the dataset.
