Dataset description

The dataset ‘disappeared mills’ contains the land-covering mapping of vanished mills according to the data of the Association De Hollandsche Molen, included in milldatabase.org. Only the lost mills with a specified coordinate pair are included. These are not only water or wind driven mills, but also tidal or muscle-driven mills. As far as known, all mills are indicated for what they were used for. Each mill is provided via the Ten Bruggencate number with a link to the relevant information page of the site https://allemolens.nl.
