In the ‘automatisation survey 2001-2003’, companies are
asked about their motives to do e-commerce. For the
electronic sales are based on eight motives. For the
electronic purchasing is about five motives. The
companies have been asked to indicate how important these motives were for
the (further) development of e-commerce activities: the in- and
sell over the Internet or any other electronic network.
Only the motives considered by the companies to be of great importance,
are included in the results. The motives whose importance as
‘average’, ‘small’ or ‘not applicable’ are not
recorded.
The results are shown as percentages where the numerator exists
from the number of companies with the relevant motive of “great importance”
consider and denominator the number of companies selling to electronics
or e-purchase.
